YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. In 2025, 6,580 tons of grain, including 1,000 tons from Kazakhstan and 5,580 tons from Russia, as well as 1,210 tons of Azerbaijani gasoline, entered Armenia by rail through Azerbaijan, reported Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan.

"As of January 8, 2026, 8,485 tons of Russian grain entered Armenia by rail through Azerbaijan, another 4,103 tons are in transit, and 7,600 tons of Azerbaijani petroleum products are also in transit, including 6,100 tons of gasoline and 1,500 tons of diesel fuel," he wrote on Facebook.

The minister again predicted a reduction in gasoline and diesel prices to 80 drams per liter compared to last month's prices.

"I am pleased to report that, in response to these developments, other companies selling petroleum products are also working to lower prices," he added.
