Government releases 8 billion drams to finance economic response program
YEREVAN, December 16. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has decided today to release 8 billion drams to finance a set of measures stipulated by the government-approved economic response program. A decision to this effect was made at Thursday's governmental session.
Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan recalled that the program, approved in February, focuses on three priorities - accelerating the recovery of economic activity, ensuring a trusting business and consumer environment and shaping a short-term economic agenda.
"To finance part of these measures, we proposed that the government allocate 8 billion drams today," he said.
In particular, these funds will be used to finance the fight against coronavirus, to support the leasing of agricultural equipment, etc. ($1 - 482.02 drams) --0-.
