Government grants VAT payment deferments to two companies

YEREVAN, August 2. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia at a meeting today awarded two textile companies VAT payment deferment. One of the companies, called Hello LLC, pledged to invest 370.8 million drams in the expansion of the production and create 30 additional jobs, raising the salary to 106,000 drams. The second company -Lentex LLC - will invest 1.98 billion drams and create 60 new jobs with an average salary of 80,000 drams.
"Despite the fact that the policy of granting privileges to companies in this sector is understandable, however each time when discussing such issues certain issues arise that require additional explanations," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said. He noted that there are certain criteria for companies to meet if they claim for benefits , and there are some doubts about their objectivity.
"Our main task should be to solve the priority problems – employment, creation of new jobs and development of the industry. In the near future we will conduct additional discussions and take concrete steps to stimulate the development of the light industry," Pashinyan said.
He stressed that the process of granting benefits to companies should be as transparent as possible in order to exclude the possibility of creating an atmosphere of mistrust regarding the process. ($ 1 - 481.16 drams). --0--
