Armenian regulator extends natural gas supply license for Gazprom-Armenia CJSC
YEREVAN, September 12. /ARKA/. The license validity period for the natural gas supplier Gazprom-Armenia CJSC has been prolonged for an additional 2 years, now set to expire on September 27, 2025. This resolution was reached by the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia during a meeting held on September 10.
The license was originally granted to the company on September 22, 2003, as noted in the decision.
Gazprom-Armenia CJSC operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Russian conglomerate Gazprom, which holds a monopoly on the supply of natural gas from Russia to Armenia for domestic use. The gas is transported in transit through Georgian territory.
In Armenia, the company is also involved in the transportation, storage, distribution, and sale of gas, as well as the reconstruction and expansion of the gas transmission system and underground gas storage facilities.-0-
