Food prices in Armenia increased by 3.8% in November

Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices increased by 3.8% in November 2025 compared to November 2024, and by 1.3% month-on-month, according to a report from the Statistical Committee of Armenia (Armstat).
YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices increased by 3.8% in November 2025 compared to November 2024, and by 1.3% month-on-month, according to a report from the Statistical Committee of Armenia (Armstat).
Bread and cereal prices increased by 3.5% year-on-year in November, and by 0.3% month-on-month. Moreover, spelt prices increased by 2.7% in November (up 0.9% month-on-month), bread by 3% (up 0.1%), flour by 4.8% (up 0.2%), buckwheat by 7.9% (up 2.5%), pasta by 8.8% (up 0.8%), and peas by 9.2% (up 0.1%).
Meat prices increased by 3.8% year-on-year in November and by 0.6% month-on-month. Meanwhile, poultry prices increased by 1.8% year-on-year in November (up 0.5% month-on-month), beef by 4.2% (up 1%), pork by 9.9% (up 0.2%), and lamb by 13.5% (up 2.9%). Fish and seafood prices increased by 14.9% in November 2025 compared to November 2024, and by 3.4% compared to October 2024. Trout prices increased by 13.7% during the reporting period, and by 1.9% month-on-month.
Prices in the "Dairy Products, Cheese, and Eggs" category increased by 4.8% year-on-year in November, and by 1.9% month-on-month. At the same time, condensed milk increased in price by 1.1% (up 0.9% month-on-month), cheese by 3.4% (up 0.8%), fresh milk by 5.7% (up 2%), cottage cheese by 7.2% (up 2%), matsun by 7.3% (up 2.3%), sour cream by 8.6% (up 2.8%), and eggs by 3% (up 2.7%).
Products in the "Oils and Fats" group increased in price in November by 11.5% year-on-year and 1.6% month-on-month. Margarine increased in price by 5.3% (up 1.6% month-on-month), butter by 11.9% (up 1.1%), and sunflower oil by 15% (up 3%). Fruit prices in November increased by 3.1% year-on-year and decreased by 2.7% month-on-month.
In the "Vegetables" category, prices fell by 7.8% year-on-year in November and increased by 8.6% month-on-month.
In the "Sugar, Fruit Puree, Honey, Syrups, Chocolate, and Sugar Confectionery" category, prices increased by 6.9% year-on-year and by 0.5% month-on-month in November. Sugar and granulated sugar fell by 1% year-on-year (up 1.6% month-on-month), while chocolate fell by 12.2% (up 0.1%).
In the "Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa" category, prices increased by 10.3% year-on-year in November compared to November last year and by 0.6% compared to October this year. In November, coffee prices increased by 10.7% year-on-year (up 0.6% month-on-month), while cocoa prices increased by 30% (up 3.6%).
Mineral and spring water prices, as well as bottled drinking water, increased by 3.2% year-on-year in November and decreased by 0.2% month-on-month.
Alcohol prices increased by 4.3% in November compared to November and by 0.4% compared to August. Vodka prices increased by 5% (up 0.6% month-on-month), wine by 2.5% (up 0.1%), and beer by 2.3% (up 0.0%).
Tobacco prices increased by 8.5% year-on-year in November (up 0.2% month-on-month). Food products not included in other groups increased in price by 1.9% in November 2025 compared to November 2024, and by 0.6% compared to October.
Moreover, according to statistics, prices in the non-food market increased by 1.2% in November of this year compared to November last year, and by 0.5% compared to October of this year.
In Armenia, inflation in November 2025 compared to November 2024 was 3.1%, and the month-over-month rate was 0.6%.
