According to current data, electricity production in January-February 2026 increased by 7.1% compared to the same period in 2025, the Statistical Committee reports.

Electricity generation in Armenia increased by 7.1% in the first two months of 2026

YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. According to current data, electricity production in January-February 2026 increased by 7.1% compared to the same period in 2025, the Statistical Committee reports.

Electricity generation during the reporting period amounted to 1,823.9 million kWh.

However, this figure in February decreased by 4.7% compared to February of last year, and by 24.4% compared to January of this year.

A significant increase in water volume is expected in Armenia's rivers due to heavy precipitation

Due to expected precipitation, water volumes in Armenia's rivers are forecast to increase significantly in the Voghji, Gorisget, Meghriget, Arpa, Debed, and Aghstev river basins on March 27-28, according to the Armenian Hydrometeorological Center.
