YEREVAN, March 23. /ARKA/. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) forecasts that the refinancing rate in Armenia will remain near 6.5% in 2026.
On March 17, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia maintained the refinancing rate at 6.50% for the third consecutive year. The Lombard repo rate and the cash attraction rate also remained unchanged at 8.00% and 5.00%.
"Inflation accelerated in February to 4.3% y/y (from 3.8% the previous month), while core inflation rose to 4.7% y/y (from 4.5% the previous month). The decision was made taking into account the risks of accelerating global inflation – both due to rising prices and as a result of the increasing complexity and cost of logistics,” the EDB said in its weekly macroeconomic review.
