In Armenia, consumer price growth will be near the upper limit of the Central Bank's target range (3±1%) in the coming months, according to the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) weekly macro review.
YEREVAN, April 6. /ARKA/. In Armenia, consumer price growth will be near the upper limit of the Central Bank's target range (3±1%) in the coming months, according to the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) weekly macro review.
"Inflation in Armenia amounted to 4.5% y/y in March 2026, after 4.3% y/y in February. This acceleration is primarily due to rising food prices (7.8% y/y after 6.4% y/y the previous month). Inflation in the services and non-food segments stabilized at 2.6% y/y and 0.9% y/y, respectively," the study states.
We expect consumer price growth to be near the upper limit of the Central Bank's target range (3±1%) in the coming months.
Armenia's 2026 state budget projects inflation at 3% (±1%). According to the Central Bank's monetary policy report for the first quarter of this year, inflation in Armenia is expected to be 4.4-3.3% by the end of 2026, depending on scenarios (A-B), with a forecast of 3.5-3.1% for 2027 and 3.2-3.1% for 2028.
