Economic activity in Armenia grew by 7.6% in the first nine months
YEREVAN, October 27. /ARKA/. As per preliminary data, Armenia's economic activity recorded a 7.6% increase from January to September 2025 in comparison to the same period in 2024, according to the Statistical Committee.
Moreover, in September of this year, economic activity rose by 10.5% compared to September of the previous year, and by 9.8% compared to August of this year.
In the first nine months, industrial output totaled 2,055,912.9 million drams, reflecting a decrease of 5.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
In September, economic activity noted a 10.1% increase year-on-year, alongside a 5.1% increase month-on-month.
The gross agricultural output for January-September of this year reached 686,552.8 million drams, marking a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. Data for September is not available.
Construction volume for the reporting period of this year saw a rise of 20.7% compared to the same timeframe last year, amounting to 462,162.0 million drams. In September, the year-on-year growth was 22%, with a month-on-month increase of 6.7%.
Domestic trade turnover for the first nine months of this year was 4,724,122.4 million drams, representing a 3.5% increase compared to the same period last year. In September, the year-on-year growth was 0.9%, while the month-on-month growth was 1.3%.
According to statistics, the services sector (excluding trade) in the first nine months of 2025 reached 2,949,405.1 million drams, which is 9.9% higher than the same period in 2024. In September, the annual growth was 7.9%, while there was a month-over-month decline of 2%.
Armenia's economic growth is anticipated to be 5.1% in the 2025 state budget.-0-
