Economic activity in Armenia experiences increase of 8.1% over 10 months period

Preliminary data indicates that Armenia's economic activity from January to October 2025 has increased by 8.1% in comparison to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee.
YEREVAN, November 25. /ARKA/. Preliminary data indicates that Armenia's economic activity from January to October 2025 has increased by 8.1% in comparison to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee.
Furthermore, in October of this year, economic activity rose by 10.1% relative to October of the previous year, although it experienced a decline of 4% when compared to September of this year.
The industrial output over the ten-month period totaled 2,408,950.1 million drams, reflecting a 3% decrease compared to the corresponding period in 2024. In October, the annual growth rate was recorded at 17.9%, while the monthly growth rate stood at 20.8%.
The construction sector during the reporting period saw an increase of 20.6% compared to the same timeframe last year, reaching 551,434.5 million drams. In October, the year-on-year growth was 20.1%, and the month-on-month growth was 1.3%.
Domestic trade turnover for the first ten months amounted to 5,323,923.2 million drams, which is 3.2% higher than the same period last year. In October, the year-on-year growth was 1%, and the month-on-month growth was 2.2%.
According to statistics, the service sector (excluding trade) for January to October 2025 achieved 3,332,456.5 million drams, representing a 10.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024. In October, the year-on-year growth was 12.8%, and the month-on-month growth was 1.8%.
Armenia's economic growth forecasted in the 2025 state budget is 5.1%. The Central Bank anticipates that GDP growth will be between 5.8% and 5.7% by the end of 2025, between 5.7% and 6.2% in 2026, and between 5% and 6.3% in 2027.-0-
