Construction volume in Armenia saw a rise of 20.4% during first eight months, surpassing 374 billion drams

From January to August 2025, the total volume of construction work in Armenia reached 374,853.1 million drams (at current prices), reflecting a 20.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

YEREVAN, October 8. /ARKA/. From January to August 2025, the total volume of construction work in Armenia reached 374,853.1 million drams (at current prices), reflecting a 20.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Moreover, in August, this figure was recorded at 81,551.3 million drams, marking a 21.1% increase compared to August of the previous year.

The construction volume funded by the state budget for the first eight months totaled 88,231.7 million drams, which constitutes 23.5% of the overall construction volume (a 25.5% increase compared to the same timeframe in 2024).

The construction financed by community funds amounted to 15,775.3 million drams (4.2% share, 30% growth), while humanitarian aid funds contributed 983.0 million drams (0.3% share, 50.5% decline), organizational funds accounted for 181,204.5 million drams (48.3% share, 20.6% growth), and contributions from the population reached 88,668.6 million drams (23.7% share, 15.7% growth).

Meanwhile, the construction volume financed through international loans for the period of January to August was 14,091.0 million drams (6.5% share), reflecting an 8% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Among the international loans, the World Bank provided AMD 1,118 million, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development contributed AMD 1,541 million, the European Investment Bank offered AMD 559.9 million, the Asian Development Bank supplied AMD 11,377.3 million, the German Development Bank contributed AMD 1,624.9 million, and other institutions provided AMD 8,220.4 million.

The predominant share of construction work was concentrated in real estate (AMD 197,550.5 million, representing a 52.7% share of the total), transport (AMD 43,072.0 million, an 11.5% share), and education (AMD 38,277.1 million, a 10.2% share). ($1 - AMD 382.63).-0-
