Construction volume in Armenia increased by 20.5% in the first two months of 2026, reaching 54 billion drams

Construction volume in Armenia for January-February 2026 amounted to 53,953.7 million drams (at current prices), an increase of 20.5% compared to January-February 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.

YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. Construction volume in Armenia for January-February 2026 amounted to 53,953.7 million drams (at current prices), an increase of 20.5% compared to January-February 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.

Moreover, construction volume in February amounted to 31,691.7 million drams, an increase of 21.8% compared to February 2025.

The largest volume of construction in the first two months of this year was financed by organizations—30,857.1 million drams, or 57.2% of the total (a 20.4% increase compared to January-February 2025).

The volume of construction financed by the population amounted to 17,834.7 million drams (a 33.1% share, a 36.2% increase), by the state budget—3,462.7 million drams (a 6.4% share, a 22.8% decrease), by community funds—1,658.1 million drams (a 3.1% share, a 14.1% increase), and by humanitarian aid—141.1 million drams (a 0.2% share, a 3.1% increase). Moreover, the volume of construction financed by international loans in January-February amounted to 650.0 million drams, or 1.2% of the total, a decrease of 62.8% compared to January-February of the previous year. Of these international loans, 51.9 million drams were allocated to the German Development Bank, while 598.1 million drams were allocated to other entities.

The largest share of construction work was carried out in real estate-related activities (volume: 34,124.3 million drams, a 63.2% share of the total), electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning (volume: 4,947.7 million drams, a 9.2% share), and transportation and warehousing (volume: 1,987.9 million drams, a 3.7% share).
