Armenian prime minister to visit Russian Kazan for EEU gathering

Armenia's acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be visiting the Russian city of Kazan on April 29-30 to participate in a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. In Kazan Pashinyan will also visit the innovation town Innopolis and a technopark.

YEREVAN, April 29. /ARKA/. Armenia's acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be visiting the Russian city of Kazan on April 29-30 to participate in a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. In Kazan Pashinyan will also visit the innovation town Innopolis and a technopark.

The meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in a narrow format is scheduled for Thursday and in the expanded format for Friday.

The face-to-face meeting will bring together the heads of government of the EEU member states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia), representatives of observer countries (Cuba, Moldova and Uzbekistan) and invited guests.

The prime ministers will discuss ways to deepen integration within the EEU. Particular attention will be paid to the development of coordinated approaches to unifying customs and tariff regulations in relation to the export of certain types of sensitive agricultural products, as well as to protection of the agricultural market and phytosanitary control.

The meeting participants will hear a report on the progress in the implementation of the interstate program for the production of space and geoinformation products and services, as well as on the prospects for cooperation in the space field.

The main directions of industrial cooperation within the EEU until 2025 will be presented for consideration by the heads of government. -- 0--
