Armenian deputy minister attends Eastern Partnership gathering

Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Bagrat Badalyan attended the 16th meeting of the Eastern Partnership panel on transport issues in Brussels, Belgium.
EREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Bagrat Badalyan attended the 16th meeting of the Eastern Partnership panel on transport issues in Brussels, Belgium.
The Armenian ministry said the panel included discussions on priority infrastructure projects of the Eastern Partnership member countries, investment opportunities for the development of the expanded Trans-European Transport Network, an action plan for investment programs of the Eastern Partnership member countries as well as preparation of the ministerial meeting on the 6th of June in Luxembourg.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the European Commission, Eastern Partnership countries, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, as well as specialists, experts and investors. The national delegations presented their transport policy reforms and also discussed road safety issues.
The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a joint initiative of the European Union and its Eastern European neighbors: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
Launched at the Prague Summit in 2009, the initiative aims to bring the countries of Eastern Europe and the EU closer together. The Eastern Partnership supports and strengthens reforms in the EaP countries that contribute to the well-being of their citizens. -0-
