Armenia's services sector grows by 4.4% in 2024 January
YEREVAN, March 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's services sector grew by 4.4% in the first month of 2024 compared to January 2023 to about 237 billion drams (in current prices), the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.
According to NSC, financial and insurance services grew by 13.4% y-o-y to about 72.5 billion drams (30.6 % of the total).
Information and communications services grew by 1.3% to 49.2 billion drams,
Transport services dropped by 18% to 25.6 billion drams. Catering and hotel services grew by 9.7% to 21.9 billion drams, while health and social services grew by 11.4% to 142.7 billion drams
Scientific and technical services grew by 8.5% to over 10.1 billion drams. Real estate-related services grew by 9% to 9.5 billion drams. Culture and entertainment services grew by 4% to 22 billion drams.
Administrative and related services grew by 3.6% to 7.1 billion drams and education services grew by 8.4% to 5.8 billion drams. ($1 – 403.71 drams) -0-.
