Some 836.6 million kWh of electricity was generated in Armenia in January 2024, which is 6.3% less compared to January 2023, the National Statistical Committee said.
YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Some 836.6 million kWh of electricity was generated in Armenia in January 2024, which is 6.3% less compared to January 2023, the National Statistical Committee said.
Some 57.2% or 377.8 million kWh were generated by thermal power plants, a decline of 12.4% year-on-year.
The Armenian nuclear power plant produced 323.5 mln kWh, a decline of 1.6%) or 28.4% of the total, and the share of HPPs was 97.6 mln kWh, up 10.1% /12.3% of the total.
Solar power plants (2.1% share) produced 37.4 million kWh of electricity in January, down 15.6%, and wind farms (0.02% share) produced 0.3 million kWh (up 70.5%). -0-
