Armenia's overall growth remains robust- Pashinyan
YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. The overall growth remains robust, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a press conference today, specifying that in the first 4 months of 2023, tax authorities collected as much taxes as they would collect annually between 2000-2010 and approximately as much as in 2021.
"In 2022, our tax authorities collected 1 trillion 926 billion drams in taxes, which is about 82 billion drams or 4% more than originally planned," he said. He said compared to 2017 the rise in tax collection rate amounted to 768 billion drams or 66.3%.
Pashinyan said also that capital expenditures in 2022 increased by 150 billion drams or 163% compared to 2017.
The PM recalled that in 2021-2022 the government acquired a stake in the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine and started participating in its management. As a result, the amount of taxes paid by the combine surged to 145.6 billion drams, which is about 7 billion drams more than in 2012-2017 combined. ($1 - 386.42 drams). --0--
