Armenia's industrial output in first quarter increased by 30.4%to 723.7 billion drams
YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Armenia's industrial output in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to about 723.7 billion drams (in current prices), increasing by 30.4% compared to the same period of 2023, the National Statistical Committee said.
The output in March alone amounted to 262.5 billion drams, an increase of 33.5% against March 2023 and 0.2% against February 2024.
In January-March of this year, the mining industry output amounted to 104.9 billion drams (a 4.6% decrease compared to the same period of 2023), the processing industry grew to 510 billion drams (a 47.6% increase).
The volume in electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air supplies amounted to AMD 101.8 billion (up by 13.3%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling grew to AMD 7.1 billion (up by 6.6%).
The processing industry accounted for the largest share in the structure of industrial production - 70.5%. The share of mining industry is 14.5%, supply of electricity, gas, steam and purified air - 14%, and water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling - 1%. ($1 - AMD 388.47) -0-.
