Armenia's industrial output in 2023 up 4.1% to about 2.8 trillion drams
YEREVAN, December 6. /ARKA/. Armenia's industrial output in 2023 amounted to about 2.8 trillion drams in current prices, up 4.1% compared to 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
The industrial output in December 2023 alone amounted to 364.6 billion drams, down 20% from December 2022 and 11.6% from November 2023.
The mining sector accounted for about 463.2 billion drams, 6.4% decrease compared to 2022. The processing industry’s output grew by 6.7% yoy to over 1.9 trillion drams.
Electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air supplies amounted to over 320. 2 billion drams, 6.3% growth against 2022, while water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling grew by almost 6.1% to over 29.6 billion drams.
The processing industry accounted for 71.3% of the total output. The mining sector’s share was about 16.6%, that of electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air – 11.5% and that of water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling – 1.1%. ($1 - 404.24 drams). -0-
