Armenia posts highest growth of industrial output among EEU countries in 2 months of 2024 - EEC
YEREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/. The industrial output in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) grew by 6.6% in January-February 2024 compared to the same period of 2023, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the executive body of EEU said in a press release.
EEU comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Growth of industrial output was reported by all member states. The highest growth of 28.9% was posted by Armenia, which is followed by Kyrgyzstan - 7.8%, Belarus - 7.1%, Russia - 6.6% and Kazakhstan - 4.6%.
According to EEC, output in mining and quarrying sector in the EEU increased by 1.5%, manufacturing sector upped by 10.4%, electricity, natural gas, steam and air conditioning by 5.7%, water supply, sewerage, control over waste collection and distribution by 4.6%. -0-
