Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received today  Ludger Schuknecht,  the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Grigoryan's press service reported.

YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received today  Ludger Schuknecht,  the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Grigoryan's press service reported.

Grigoryan was said to have attached importance to constructive cooperation between Armenia and  OECD at various platforms. He also spoke about the reforms designed to improve tax administration and the business environment.

Ludger Schuknecht emphasized that successful cooperation has been formed with Armenia, saying the government’s steps aimed at developing the country are obvious.

The two men attached importance to Armenia's  joining the OECD’s BEPS (base erosion and profit shifting) inclusive platform earlier this year, as well as the effective and timely implementation of the actions resulting from this.

Grigoryan and Ludger Schuknecht also discussed the importance of digitalization of the economy, development of the capital market, reduction of cash turnover, as well as the possibility of increasing the investment attractiveness of Armenia.

Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international economic organization of developed countries that recognizes the principles of representative democracy and a free market economy. The organization includes 35 states, including most EU countries. -0-
