Armenia is the main supplier of cognac to Russia – it accounts for 61.7% of supplies of this type of alcohol, according to Igor Alyoshin, head of Rosalkogoltabakkontrol (government agency overseeing alcohol and tobacco products), Interfax reported.

YEREVAN, April 17. /ARKA/. Armenia is the main supplier of cognac to Russia – it accounts for 61.7% of supplies of this type of alcohol, according to Igor Alyoshin, head of Rosalkogoltabakkontrol (government agency overseeing alcohol and tobacco products), Interfax reported.

Other suppliers of cognac to Russia are Georgia (22.5%), France - 7.4%, Spain - 2.8%.

Overall, according to Rosalkogoltabakkontrol, Russia imported 102 million decaliters of alcoholic beverages in 2023, which is 6.5% more than in 2022.-0-
