YEREVAN, September 30. /ARKA/. Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan and Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Aoki Yutaka signed an agreement on "Economic and Social Development" providing Armenia with a $1.7 million grant.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Environment, the funds will be used to modernize air quality monitoring stations and purchase equipment for the Ministry of Environment's Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center.
This will allow for the continuous and systematic development of air pollution monitoring, improve data quality control, enhance the reliability of forecasts, and contribute to the development of a healthy and sustainable environment.
