Armenia to hand over draft agreement on "Trump Route" to U.S., Pashinyan
YEREVAN, February 11. /ARКА/. In the upcoming days, Armenia will share its proposals concerning the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) agreement with its American counterparts, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"Concerning TRIPP, we will follow this schedule: in the next few days, we will present our perspectives on the agreement related to the TRIPP initiative to our US partners. The draft document will be founded on the implementation framework that has been approved by the governments of both nations, which is, in turn, based on the statement from August 8, 2025," Pashinyan mentioned during a government Q&A session in parliament on Wednesday.
He indicated that work on the feasibility study for the project has already commenced.
The prime minister also emphasized the significance of updating Armenia's border management system. He mentioned that with the rollout of biometric passports in Armenia, tentatively set for the fall of 2027, contactless control procedures are expected to be implemented at airports and other checkpoints.-0-
