Armenia's State Revenue Committee has revealed numerous cases of selling counterfeit vodka at a low price
YEREVAN, September 5. /ARKA/. The Armenian State Revenue Committee has uncovered numerous instances of counterfeit vodka being sold at prices lower than their cost in the market.
In 47 retail establishments, officers from the State Revenue Committee discovered 1,703 bottles of counterfeit vodka priced below both cost and market rates, featuring obviously fake excise stamps or identification marks.
As a result of the actions taken, the entire batch was removed from circulation. Instances of the repeated use of the same identification marks were also identified. Necessary actions are being undertaken to clarify all aspects of this crime and to identify all individuals involved in the groups.
The State Revenue Committee urges producers of alcoholic beverages to sell products that require mandatory labeling only in accordance with the law and to avoid any intentions of engaging in illegal activities.-0-
