Armenia's service sector grows by 9.8% in six months, reaching AMD 1.8 trillion

According to the National Statistical Committee, the volume of Armenia's services sector from January to June of 2025 was over 1.8 trillion drams at current prices, which is a 9.8% increase compared to the first six months of 2024.

YEREVAN, August 8: /ARKA/. According to the National Statistical Committee, the volume of Armenia's services sector from January to June of 2025 was over 1.8 trillion drams at current prices, which is a 9.8% increase compared to the first six months of 2024.

In June 2025, the sector's value was 322.8 billion drams, up 8.2% from June of last year and up 1.3% from May of this year.

Financial and insurance activities accounted for the largest share (31.6%) of the services sector, at 571.9 billion drams — 16.5% more than in the first half of last year.

The information and communication sector accounted for 21.6% (392.5 billion), an increase of 19%. The accommodation and catering sector, as well as the transport sector, accounted for 9.3% (167.7 billionillion and 168.7 billion, respectively), an increase of 4.4% and a decrease of 11.9%, respectively.

The culture, entertainment, and recreation sector accounts for 4% (145.3 billion, an increase of 2.3%). Professional, scientific, and technical activities account for 4.9% (88.9 billion, an increase of 7.9%). Healthcare and social security account for 4.7% (84.8 billion, an increase of 6.6%).

Real estate transactions accounted for 3.9% (71.3 billion drams, with a growth rate of 12.6%); administrative and support services accounted for 3.3% (59.8 billion drams, with a growth rate of 8.1%); and education accounted for 2.6% (46.6 billion drams, with a growth rate of 4.1%).
