Armenia's Parliament Approves 2025 State Budget Execution Report
YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. The National Assembly of Armenia approved the annual report on the execution of the country's state budget for 2025 at its session on Wednesday.

"In 2025, economic growth in Armenia reached 7.1%, and the average growth rate from 2021 to 2025 was 7.9%. During this period, GDP per capita doubled—from $4,750 to almost $9,500," said RA Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan, presenting the report to parliament.

According to the minister, capital expenditures in 2025 increased by 145 billion drams, reaching 6.2% of GDP compared to the previous year and a 3.2-fold increase compared to 2021.

"In parallel with the growth of capital expenditures, the share of current expenditures not only did not increase, but, on the contrary, decreased, reaching 23% compared to 25.9% in 2021. This means that we have begun to focus more investments on the future and consume less in the present," Hovhannisyan said.

The head of the Ministry of Finance also reported that the state budget deficit during the reporting period remained at an average level of 3.2%. Budget revenues amounted to 2 trillion 886 billion drams, of which tax revenues and state duties accounted for 2 trillion 725 billion drams. This figure, according to the minister, exceeded the previous year's level by more than 334 billion drams.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, stated that tax revenues to the Armenian state budget have increased by 135% since 2017, effectively doubling since the "Velvet Revolution" of 2018. He noted that this reflects sustainable economic growth: since 2018, the country's economy has expanded by 53%, and GDP per capita has more than doubled.

Pashinyan also stated that the government continues to implement economic and political programs. ($1 - 368.06 drams).
