Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-August decreased by 41.1%, amounting to $12.9 billion

According to the latest statistics, Armenia's foreign trade turnover for the period of January to August 2025 reached $12,942.7 million, reflecting a 41.1% decline in comparison to the same period in 2024.

YEREVAN, September 25. /ARKA/. According to the latest statistics, Armenia's foreign trade turnover for the period of January to August 2025 reached $12,942.7 million, reflecting a 41.1% decline in comparison to the same period in 2024.

Additionally, in August of this year, this figure saw a decrease of 33.7% when compared to August of the previous year, and a reduction of 13.8% in relation to July of this year.

For the initial seven months of 2025, the foreign trade turnover in dram equivalent was 5,037.6 billion drams.

Armenia's exports from January to August 2025 experienced a significant drop of 48.8% compared to the corresponding period in 2024, totaling $5,000.9 million. A decline of 40.8% was noted in August compared to August of the previous year, and a 16.5% decrease was observed compared to July of this year. In terms of dram equivalent, exports during this reporting period amounted to 1,945.5 billion drams.

Imports for the first eight months totaled $7,941.8 million, marking a 34.9% decrease compared to the same timeframe in 2024. In August, imports decreased by 28.3% year-on-year, while there was a month-on-month increase of 12.1%. In dram equivalent, imports reached 3,092.1 billion drams. ($1 = 382.72 drams).-0-
