Armenia's economic growth in 2025 will be at least 6%, minister
YEREVAN, February 6. /ARКА/. Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced that Armenia's economic growth for 2025 is anticipated to be no less than 6%.
"In the first three quarters of 2025, the economy recorded growth rates of 5.2%, 6.4%, and 6.2%, respectively, with an even higher rate expected for the fourth quarter," he stated during a press conference on Friday.
The minister indicated that the GDP for 2025 is projected to be around 10.86 trillion drams at current prices, translating to approximately $28 billion, an increase from $26 billion in 2024.
"The per capita GDP in dollar terms is expected to surpass $9,000 in 2025," he added. "In 2024, this figure stood at $8,556," the minister remarked.
The state budget of Armenia anticipates economic growth of 5.1% for 2025 and 5.4% for 2026. The Central Bank's monetary policy report for the fourth quarter of past year forecasts GDP growth at 5.9-5.9% in 2025 and 6.3-4.1% in 2026.-0-
