YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. Armenia's average annual economic growth from 2021 to 2025 was approximately 8.13%, compared to the government's target of 7.0% for 2021–2026, the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan revealed today.

According to the minister, 2025 was generally favorable for the economy, with growth from January to September reaching 6.0% compared to the same period in 2024.

"Since 2018, our economy has grown by more than 50%, and GDP per capita has increased from $3,800 in 2017 to $8,560 in 2024," he said.

According to the data he cited, the economic activity index was 8.3% in January-November 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.

Positive dynamics were recorded in industry (0.5%), services (10.9%), trade (3.0%), and construction (20.1%).

In agriculture, growth was 6.0% in January-September 2025, with the annual rate projected to be in the range of 5.0-6.0%.

Speaking about productivity, Papoyan reported that, according to 2024 data, GDP productivity in Armenia was $10.3 per person-hour, an increase of more than 1.7 times compared to 2017.

According to him, if current trends continue, achieving the target of $12 per man-hour, envisaged for 2026, is realistic.-0-
