YEREVAN, November 3. /ARKA/. Armenia has been recognized as one of the partner countries of the Import Promotion Desk (IPD) in Germany. This agreement was established during the visit of Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan to Germany from October 29 to 31, as reported by the Ministry of Economy's press service.

"This decision marks a significant advancement in enhancing economic collaboration between Armenia and Germany, as well as in bolstering Armenia's export capabilities." "It will enable Armenian entrepreneurs to broaden their export reach, establish a foothold in German markets, and elevate the visibility of Armenian products," the Ministry indicated.

The IPD initiative serves as a conduit linking small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in partner nations with dependable importers from Germany and the European Union. Involvement in this initiative encompasses technical support for market entry and specialized programs aimed at developing export opportunities.

As Papoyan mentioned, the Armenian Ministry of Economy will maintain close collaboration with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), along with IPD partner organizations, to ensure that Armenian producers comply with European market standards, leverage export promotion resources, and engage in prominent international exhibitions in Germany and other nations to effectively position Armenian products in European markets.

According to Armstat, Armenia's foreign trade turnover with Germany for the first eight months of 2025 reached $297.3 million, reflecting a 5.3% decrease. Despite the growth in exports, which rose by 77.4% to $71.39 million, imports fell by 17.4%, totaling $225.9 million.-0-
