Armenia expands support for individuals with disabilities: list of resources expanded, benefits increased

The list of assistive devices provided to individuals with disabilities in Armenia has been expanded to include diapers, RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan announced.
YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. The list of assistive devices provided to individuals with disabilities in Armenia has been expanded to include diapers, RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan announced.
"This represents a significant financial burden for them and their families. From now on, those citizens who require diapers can receive 120 per month from a licensed company for 36,000 drams," Torosyan said.
He noted that the program also provides microprocessors for hearing aids and various prosthetics, and the list of assistive devices will be expanded.
Starting April 1, 2026, benefits for citizens with disabilities are planned to be increased by 10,000 drams. Disability benefits for citizens of groups 1, 2 and 3, as well as for individuals with profound, severe and moderate functional limitations, currently amount to 39,000, 37,500 and 36,000 drams and will increase to 49,000, 47,500 and 46,000 drams, respectively.
