Armenia and the United States are ready to sign a document on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and continue further cooperation in this area, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported following a meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno in Paris.

YEREVAN, March 11. /ARКА/. Armenia and the United States are ready to sign a document on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and continue further cooperation in this area, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported following a meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno in Paris.

The interlocutors discussed issues of deepening the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States in various areas.

"Mirzoyan and DiNanno noted with satisfaction the completion of negotiations on a cooperation agreement between the governments of Armenia and the United States in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. The parties emphasized their readiness to sign the document in the appropriate format and to continue further cooperation in this area," the press release stated.

Regional infrastructure projects were also discussed during the meeting.
