Armenia and Qatar plan to deepen investment cooperation
YEREVAN, April 13. /ARKA/. Plans are currently underway to deepen investment cooperation between Armenia and Qatar, as well as to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and digital transformation.
This issue was discussed at a meeting between Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan and Qatari Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mansour Abdullah Al-Sulaiti.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, during the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the importance of strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Armenia and Qatar, which is one of the priorities outlined in the Armenian government's program.
"Hovhannisyan and Al-Sulaiti discussed prospects for expanding bilateral economic cooperation. In this context, the importance of the agreement signed between the two countries on the "Elimination of Double Taxation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the State of Qatar," which creates favorable conditions for intensifying business ties, was emphasized," the ministry said in a statement. -0-
