YEREVAN, June 3. /ARKA/. Armenia and Japan have untapped potential to boost economic and investment ties, tourism and humanitarian exchanges. As reported by the press service of the National Assembly of Armenia, this was noted during the meeting of Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hakob Arshakyan with Deputy Chairman of the House of Councilors of the National Assembly of Japan Hiroyuki Nagahama.

Arshakyan expressed gratitude for the support provided to Armenia by Japan, emphasizing the importance of Japan's participation in the field of economic development.

The parties also touched upon the World Expo 2025, noting that Armenia, with its pavilion, represents the country's economic, cultural, technological, educational and tourism potential.

In this context, the activities of the TUMO Gunma educational center, which will provide 1,500 students with access to modern professions and skill development, were also noted.

About the exhibition

Armenia is participating in the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, which runs from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The cutting-edge Armenia Pavilion, titled “Pillars of Today and Tomorrow,” features 3D-printed models and impressive light projections that highlight Armenia’s historical and cultural heritage, as well as future-focused cutting-edge technology and education projects.

The TUMO education model, AI-powered education route, and TUMO’s international network are on display, including Japan’s first TUMO Gunma, which opened in Takasaki City on June 1, becoming the first TUMO center in Asia.

Expo 2025 Osaka features participants from over 160 countries and regions showcasing their futuristic exhibits against a backdrop of global divisions, tensions, and wars. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony was performed to mark the start of a six-month event that Japan hopes will unite a world divided by tension and war. The main theme of the Osaka exhibition is "Creating a Future Society for Our Lives." -0-
