Armenia and Iraq consider launching direct flights and simplifying visa procedures

The simplification of visa procedures and launching direct flights between Armenia and Iraq were discussed yesterday by the head of the Armenian Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Armenia Ali Abdulkarem Utavi.
YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. The simplification of visa procedures and launching direct flights between Armenia and Iraq were discussed yesterday by the head of the Armenian Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Armenia Ali Abdulkarem Utavi.
During the meeting, the proposals of the Armenian side presented in the draft Memorandum of Understanding in the Spheres of Culture and Tourism between the two countries, prepared by the Tourism Committee, as well as the advisability of signing it in the near future were discussed, the press service of the Tourism Committee reported.
The parties also touched upon the possibilities of presenting the tourism potential in the two countries and organizing joint marketing events, holding a webinar between travel agencies of the two countries, as well as prospects for further cooperation in the field of tourism.-0-
