Armenia and Huawei discuss energy storage opportunities

YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia, and representatives of Huawei's regional office discussed prospects for energy storage.

During the meeting, the importance of energy storage stations, given the current operating conditions of the power system, was emphasized, according to the RA PSRC press service.

Huawei experts presented examples of the use of battery storage systems (BESS) in the European Union and the Baltic states, and discussed the capabilities and advantages of these systems, which are aimed at solving systemic problems arising from the large-scale use of solar power plants.

The parties agreed to continue their cooperation, which will facilitate the application of energy storage technologies in Armenia.
