YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. Approximately 4.5 billion drams are allocated for investment and export support program in 2027, stated Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan.
"In particular, 1 billion drams will be allocated to support the export of target product groups to target countries, as well as to develop the necessary infrastructure," Papoyan noted in parliament on Friday during hearings on the draft 2027 state budget.
According to him, approximately 790.3 million drams will be allocated through the Investment Promotion Center to support the implementation of investment programs in Armenia.
"In order to stimulate exports, activities to promote Armenian products abroad are also planned," Papoyan said.
The minister stated that measures aimed at stimulating exports will be implemented, specifically participation in exhibitions and expos abroad.
"Participation in 10 exhibitions and expos abroad is planned, as well as holding eight forums, conferences, and presentations in Armenia. 300 million drams have been allocated for these purposes," Papoyan said.
Regarding export restrictions
In 2026, Armenian exporters faced Russian restrictions on the supply of certain products from Armenia and their transit through Russian territory to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Violations of phytosanitary requirements were cited as the reason.
Against this backdrop, the Armenian government expanded support measures for exporters, including for access to alternative markets. Specifically, in June, a program to support the export of certain types of agricultural products and flowers was approved, one of the goals of which is to diversify sales markets.
