YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. The production activities of the El Garden restaurant in Yerevan have been temporarily suspended due to violations of sanitary rules and hygienic standards, the press service of the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia reported.
According to the agency, the violations were discovered during an inspection conducted at the catering facility located at 8 Tsitsernakaberd Highway, Yerevan.
The regulator noted that the establishment failed to ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection, which created a risk of dirt accumulation and the contamination of food products by foreign particles.

Furthermore, the kitchen wall surfaces were reportedly not made of waterproof and washable materials, making them difficult to clean and disinfect.
The inspection agency also stated that the ceilings were unsafe and did not prevent the accumulation of contaminants, and the work surface for cutting food was damaged and not made of smooth, easy-to-clean materials.
The business entity was ordered to take the necessary measures to bring the food service facility into compliance with established requirements. A deadline has been set for correcting the identified violations, the Inspectorate reported.
