YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. The Armenian police have uncovered a case of tax evasion in the supply of diesel fuel and gasoline worth 2 billion 919 million drams.

“As a result of operational and investigative measures, factual data was obtained that authorized representatives of two affiliated companies issued fictitious tax invoices, thereby assisting other companies in tax evasion,” the report says.

In particular, it was revealed that in 2021-2022 and this year, these individuals, without having tax invoices for the corresponding amount of such goods as “diesel fuel” and “AI-95 premium gasoline”, issued invoices on behalf of a number of companies for the amount of supplies that exceeded the actual purchased amount by almost 7 billion drams. As a result, the companies acting as buyers did not pay more than 2 billion 700 million drams in taxes.

It also turned out that one of the affiliated enterprises in 2023-2025, without having tax invoices for the corresponding amount of "diesel fuel" and in this case also without actual delivery, issued fictitious tax invoices on behalf of other companies, exceeding the actual purchase volume by about 482 million drams. The tax was not paid in especially large amounts - more than 183 million drams.

The compiled materials were sent to the Investigative Committee. Criminal proceedings were initiated on the grounds of providing fictitious documents without actual delivery of goods, drawing up and submitting forged documents on expenses or income, as well as non-payment of taxes, fees or other mandatory payments.

The circumstances are being clarified as part of the preliminary investigation.
