A rapid response medical group will be established in Armenia.
YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. A rapid response medical group will be established in Armenia. The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on Thursday.
According to the rationale for the decision, this group may be involved in providing medical assistance to victims of emergencies in Armenia, as well as in international humanitarian missions abroad. The procedure for its participation in foreign missions will be determined by government decision.
The group will be formed using medical personnel from existing medical organizations and specialists from the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The group must be completely self-sufficient—provided with personnel, equipment, medications, machinery, food, and everything necessary for deployment both in Armenia and abroad.
The document establishes the structure, composition, and equipment of the group (medicines, medical supplies and equipment, logistics), as well as the procedure for its participation in international humanitarian missions.
Financing will be provided by funds allocated to the Ministry of Health from the state budget, and for foreign missions, from the government reserve fund.
