Karabakh government approves state program for supporting smes in 2012

The government of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR ) approved Monday a 2 billion drams program, designed to support small and medium business in 2012, the press service of NKR government said.

The program notes that SMEs play a significant role in shaping the country's GDP and creation of new jobs. In 2010, the share of SMEs in NKR GDP rose by 2.2% from 2009 to 31.4%, and the number of SMEs increased by 267.

"Development trends have been persisting throughout 2011. The program is mainly aimed at improving the economic and business activity in the country ", the press service said.($1-383.17 drams). -0-
