SCR and ministry of emergency situations of Armenia to jointly provide the safety of railway communication

YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. General Director of “South-Caucasian Railway” cjsc Shevket Shaydulin and Armenian Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan discussed on Friday prospects of development of mutual cooperation in the sphere of safety provision of railway communication, press-service of SCR informs.
Shaydulin said that the company and the ministry conducted a constructive dialogue and expressed confidence in its continuation. He said that the company works in close cooperation with the companies organizing the transportation process following the requirements of state standards in traffic safety, fire security and standards of working security.
“We are working in the frames of the normative base existing in the Republic of Armenia. We would like to use the resources at our and the Ministry’s disposal for the benefit of Armenia and its people”, he said.
During the meeting, Yeritsyan especially mentioned the professionalism of SCR employees in elimination of consequences of landslide in Tavush region of Armenia.
He said that SCR and the Ministry should implement a number of joint programs on warning of emergency situations and security provision of railway communication.
Yeritsyan had a brief excursion with the delegation of SCR and introduced the work of the Center of Crisis Management, programs tracking potential threats, particularly for railway in Armenia in details.
SCR Chief Engineer Sergey Harutyunyan, Deputy General Director on Cooperation and Logistics of the company Anatoli Danchenko and Chief Safety Inspector Levon Hakobyan participated the meeting.
CJSC “South-Caucasus Railway” is a 100% subsidiary of OJSC “Russian Railways” implementing concession management of CJSC “Armenian Railways” according to the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008. Term of the concession is 30 years with the right of extension for another 10 years.-- 0
