SCR discusses opportunities of increasing container transportation

Meeting on the issues of increasing the volumes of container transportation through the station “Karmir Blur” took place on Friday in “South-Caucasian Railway” (SCR), press-service of SCR informs.
YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Meeting on the issues of increasing the volumes of container transportation through the station “Karmir Blur” took place on Friday in “South-Caucasian Railway” (SCR), press-service of SCR informs.
Participants of the meeting which was headed by the first Deputy CEO of SCR Marat Khakov, discussed the ways of expansion of technological capacities of the station “Karmir Blur”, process of installation cranes in the station weighing 35 and 50 tons which will enable to work with the containers in the whole perimeter of the terminal.
“Next year SCR announced the year of container transportation”, states the press-release.
The head of Road Center of Transport Service Robert Yepremyan, head of the Service of Automation, Telemechanics and Communication Arsen Khachatryan, Deputy Head of the Service of Infrastructures Ashot Husunyan, as well as CEO of dispatcher company “Apaven” Arsen Ghazaryan and Executive Director of the same company Gagik Aghajanyan participated in the meeting.
CJSC “South-Caucasus Railway” is a 100% subsidiary of OJSC “Russian Railways” implementing concession management of CJSC “Armenian Railways” according to the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008.
