Net money transfers to Armenia in September grow by 14 percent to $180.7 million

Individual money transfers to Armenia in September 2011 through commercial banks surged by 13.9% or $22.2 million year-on-year to about $180.7 million, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a statement, posted on its official website.
YEREVAN, November 4. / ARKA /. Individual money transfers to Armenia in September 2011 through commercial banks surged by 13.9% or $22.2 million year-on-year to about $180.7 million, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a statement, posted on its official website.
Money transfers from Armenia to other countries in the same time span grew by 16.5% to $72.9 million. Net money transfers to Armenia stood at about $107.7 million, up from $95.9 million in 2010 September rising by 12.3%.
Net money transfers in September 2011 dropped by 14.6% or $18.5 million from the previous month. The largest inflow of net money transfers, about $113.9 million, came, as usual, from Russia. ($1 – 378.98 drams). -0-
