YEREVAN. November 3. /ARKA/. Antimonopoly policy of the Government of Armenia and the implemented legislative changes are considered one of the best in the world, said international expert in the sphere of protection of economic competitiveness William Kovachik during the meeting with Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan.
Press-service of the Armenian government informs that Kovachik proposed Sargsyan to develop relevant strategy by which State Committee on the Protection of Economic Competitiveness (SCPEC) of Armenia will be guided in its further policy.
Sargsyan said that despite a number of existing problems for the establishment of full competitive field in the country by some objective reasons, the government undertakes all the necessary steps for the provision of fair competition.
The Head of SCPEC Artak Shaboyan said that further cooperation with Kovachik and discussions of proposals on antimonopoly programs are very important.
Sargsyan also called Kovachik and Shaboyan to work in the direction of development of above-mentioned strategy and introduction of new proposals on strengthening and development of antimonopoly policy in Armenia.
William Kovachik is a famous expert providing consulting services on the issues of antimonopoly policy and consumers’ rights not only to the Government of Armenia, but also governments of Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Benin, Egypt, Salvador, Guyana, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Panama, Vietnam and Zimbabwe. -0-
