VTB (Armenia) expands opportunities for cross-border money transfers by phone number
YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. Retail customers of VTB Bank (Armenia) can receive money transfers from Russia by phone number, the bank's press service reports.
The service is available through the Unistream system in the mobile application and in the offices of Unistream Bank. Funds are credited instantly to the recipient's account or card in national currency.
To send money, the client needs to select the “Money transfers” section in the mobile application of Unistream, click on the “Send money transfer” button, select the country - Armenia and the “By phone number” tab.
Next, the client needs to select the recipient's phone number from the contact list or enter it himself, specify the amount in Russian rubles and click “Continue”. After checking all the data, it is necessary to confirm the transaction.
“Over the past two years, we have launched several services of money transfers by phone number both in our own Internet Bank and through remote channels of partners, and we note increased interest from users. In 2023, the bank's retail customers received more than 94 thousand money transfers from Russia totaling AMD 3.8 billion. In the first quarter of this year, the volume of such transactions increased by 64% compared to the same period last year. Therefore, we will continue to develop cross-border money transfer opportunities for customers who want to send money quickly and safely to reach their relatives and friends in Armenia,” commented Taras Kladchenko, Deputy General Director - Chairman of the Management Board of VTB (Armenia).
Within the framework of the service by phone number through the Unistream system, the maximum amount of transaction per day when transferring through the application is 450 thousand Russian rubles, in the offices of Unistream Bank - 900 thousand rubles. The maximum number of transactions per day is 3, per month - 10. The commission fee is 1% of the transfer amount.
