The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle a significant shipment of undeclared cigarettes across the nation's border.
YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle a significant shipment of undeclared cigarettes across the nation's border.
According to the press service of the SRC, two trucks transporting cars recently arrived at the Agarak checkpoint from Iran.
Based on operational intelligence received from the border troops, customs officials at the checkpoint conducted inspections of the vehicles. Consequently, a substantial shipment of undeclared tobacco products of Armenian origin—7,000 cartons of cigarettes—was found within the transported vehicles. A report regarding the breach of customs regulations has been submitted. -0-
