YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, stated that no complaints have been received from Armenian businesses regarding problems exporting products to Russia.

"The phenomenon you're talking about is not new. Such issues arise from time to time, particularly last year," Hakobyan said at a briefing on Wednesday, responding to a question about possible new difficulties for businesses following the recent meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

According to Hakobyan, these are primarily phytosanitary issues, as goods must meet established requirements.

"These requirements are periodically tightened or relaxed. This is a natural process. Our call to businesses is to comply with these requirements," he noted.

Commenting on reports that the Federal Service for Control of Alcohol and Tobacco Markets of Russia filed a lawsuit to revoke the license of Proshyan Cognac Factory LLC, the head of the State Revenue Committee stated that he did not yet have this information.

"Perhaps he was busy this morning and was unaware of this. I will look into the matter and clarify which license is being suspended," Hakobyan emphasized.

It was previously reported that the license of the Armenian Proshyan Cognac Factory LLC had been revoked following a product inspection. According to media reports, a laboratory test of cognac produced by the Proshyan Cognac Factory, initiated by the Federal Service, revealed non-compliance with GOST standards, specifically the discovery of non-grape spirits in the product.
