Russian regulator files a lawsuit to revoke the license of Proshyan Brandy Factory (Armenia)
YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. The Federal Service for Control of Alcohol and Tobacco Markets of Russia filed a lawsuit to revoke and suspend the license of Proshyan Brandy Factory LLC (Armenia), Russian media reported, citing a statement from the agency.
According to the service, during an unscheduled inspection, samples of products imported by the factory into Russia as cognac were collected. An examination conducted by an accredited laboratory, according to the regulator, revealed non-compliance with GOST requirements: non-grape spirits were detected in the samples, and the composition of the product did not match the declared term "cognac."
The statement emphasizes that the identified violations formed the basis for the lawsuit to revoke and suspend the license.
Furthermore, the agency stated that the inspection revealed evidence of an offense under Article 14.43 of the Russian Federation Code of Administrative Offenses. The license revocation issue is pending before the Arbitration Court.-0-
